This 1500kg payload 7th axis robot linear track converts a fixed six-axis arm into a long-reach, floor-level workhorse for heavy fabrication. The structural body is a welded steel beam that has been stress-relief annealed and shot-blasted before machining, so the linear guide, rack and spline mounting surfaces stay flat and parallel across the full 10 metre stroke. The result is a rigid external axis that keeps +/-0.05mm repeatability even when a 1500kg tool and workpiece ride at the far end of the rail.
A matched AC servo motor and precision gearbox drive the moving carriage through a ground rack, while a cable drag chain routed along the track protects power and signal lines with an R300 bend radius. A centralised lubrication system feeds the sliders, hard limits with elastic buffers protect both ends, and an origin mark plus dual-side scale simplify referencing and calibration. The 7th axis robot linear track is engineered for continuous duty in welding and handling cells where floor space and reach, not robot articulation, limit throughput.
Each 7th axis robot linear track is configured to the arm it will carry. During planning we confirm payload, centre of gravity, required travel and cycle time, then match the servo, gearbox and reduction ratio to the duty. The rail ships as a modular kit with adjustable ground plates, so commissioning is mostly a matter of levelling, aligning and referencing the origin mark, and an optional coordination package lets the external axis and robot run from a single controller. Because guide blocks, racks, drag chains, hard limits and buffer stops are standard components with ready spares, a welding, handling or machine tending cell can keep running through a long, predictable service life.
What is the maximum load this 7th axis supports?
The external axis is rated for a 1500kg horizontal load, which includes the robot arm, end-effector and workpiece combined.
How is positioning accuracy maintained over a 10 metre stroke?
The machined, annealed steel body keeps the guide rail flat and parallel, so the carriage holds +/-0.05mm repeatability across the full travel.
Can the track length be customized?
Yes. The modular GBS system splices standard segments, so strokes longer or shorter than 10m can be configured for your cell.
What power supply is required?
A three phase 380V 50Hz supply drives the 1kW servo system; other voltages can be discussed for export projects.
How often does the rail need maintenance?
Sliders are supplied by a centralised lubrication system; routine checks of lubrication, drag chain and limit switches are recommended.
