Small welded assemblies rarely justify a full size body shop robot, and this compact spot welding robot is sized for exactly that gap. At 630kg it can sit on a wall bracket, a ceiling frame or a tilt mount, so a cell can be built around the fixture instead of the other way round. The 2236mm reach covers a seat frame, a door inner or a bracket cluster from one position, and +/-0.03mm repeatability holds the nugget centre as electrode tips wear. Wrist torque of 408 N.m carries a light servo gun without stressing the gearbox, while the 10kg U-arm allowance takes the cable package off the gun load. A 4.0 kVA supply is often already available in sub-assembly areas, which shortens the electrical scope of a retrofit.
Choosing a spot welding robot in this class usually starts with gun mass, then reach, then body mass. This spot welding robot is rated at 80 kg, so the gun, transformer and cable package fit inside one load figure. The 2236 mm reach of this spot welding robot then sets how many stations a body needs, and here it is one. Because a spot welding robot is judged by its welds, we quote the gun package, controller and parameter backup together, and we check the reach envelope against your line drawing before the spot welding robot is packed for shipment.

Q: What can the 80kg payload cover?
A: The 80kg rating includes the gun, transformer and cable package on the wrist. Stripped of the cable flange the wrist takes 88kg, and 10kg more can sit on the U arm.
Q: How is a compact robot mounted on a wall or ceiling?
A: Wall, ceiling and tilt mounting are standard on this model. We supply the bracket drawing and confirm the reaction loads against your steelwork before shipment.
Q: Why is +/-0.03mm repeatability useful here?
A: Small brackets and seat frames have narrow weld flanges, so tip drift shows up quickly. Staying inside +/-0.03mm keeps the nugget centred between dressings.
Q: Which guns fit the wrist?
A: Compact servo guns and pneumatic guns with short arms. Wrist torque is 408 N.m on the R and B axes, which covers guns normally used on sub-assembly work.
Q: Does it need a special power supply?
A: No. Power capacity is 4.0 kVA on a standard three phase supply, and the YRC1000 controller accepts the usual industrial voltages.
Q: How long does installation take?
A: On a prepared bracket the arm is usually welding within two days, including parameter load and gun calibration, with remote support from our engineers.
Q: What is supplied with the unit?
A: The arm, YRC1000 controller, teach pendant, anchor and bracket drawings, parameter backup and a machinery test report ship together.
Q: How do I confirm this spot welding robot fits my cell?
A: Send the gun package and the station drawing. We check the reach envelope of this spot welding robot against the fixture layout and return a layout with this spot welding robot placed to scale, usually within two working days.
