The FANUC M-10iD/12 is a six-axis cable-integrated robot developed for welding and handling of small to medium parts. It pairs a 12 kg payload with a 1441 mm reach and holds a repeatability of ±0.02 mm, so the welding torch stays precisely on the joint during long production runs. A unique gear drive mechanism gives the slim arm high inertia and rigidity, which supports fast, accurate motion and lifts the productivity of a welding workstation.
The defining feature of the M-10iD series is cable integration: the cables and tubes behind the tool control box run through an enlarged J1 hollow tube, and the enlarged J4 and J6 hollow tubes let hand-control cables and tubes pass through the J3 arm, allowing the tool control box to be mounted compactly at the back of the arm. This reduces external dress-out, improves reliability and simplifies cell design. FANUC +RVision integrated vision and force sensor options support seam finding and adaptive welding, while ROBOGUIDE offline teaching reduces touch-up cost. Application examples include fibre laser welding and handling of sheet metal parts.

Q: What payload and reach does the M-10iD/12 offer?
A: This welding robot provides a 12 kg payload with a 1441 mm reach, a balance suited to welding torches and small to medium parts.
Q: How accurate is it for welding?
A: Repeatability is ±0.02 mm (ISO 9283), so the welding torch stays precisely on the joint across long production runs.
Q: What does cable-integrated mean?
A: Cables and tubes run through an enlarged J1 hollow tube and the J3/J4/J6 hollow tubes, so the tool control box mounts compactly at the back of the J3 arm and external dress-out is reduced.
Q: Which intelligent functions are available?
A: FANUC +RVision integrated vision and force sensor options support seam finding and adaptive welding, and ROBOGUIDE supports offline teaching.
Q: Which applications suit it best?
A: It is well suited to fibre laser welding, MIG/MAG arc welding and handling of sheet metal parts in automated welding cells.
For precise, compact welding automation, the FANUC M-10iD/12 combines a 12 kg payload, a 1441 mm reach and ±0.02 mm repeatability in a cable-integrated six-axis robot. With enlarged hollow tubes, a rigid gear drive, +RVision and ROBOGUIDE support, it is a practical welding robot for fibre laser welding, arc welding and sheet metal handling.
