Product Description

786mm Reach 7kg Payload Collaborative Robot Arm for Packaging Pick-Place Cycles

This 786mm reach 7kg payload collaborative robot arm is aimed at end-of-line packaging and pick and place work where cycle time decides output. A 7 kg rated payload, 786.5 mm working radius and 23.2 kg body give the arm enough strength for cartons, shrink packs and bagged goods while keeping the moving mass low enough for fast reversing moves.

Joint speed reaches 223 degrees per second on the first three axes and 237 degrees per second on the wrist, and the tool flange travels at up to 3.0 m/s. Combined with 0.02 mm repeatability, that produces pick-place cycles that hold their position on a conveyor tracking station, a case packer or a bagging line through a full shift.

The arm mounts at any angle, so it can hang over a conveyor, sit beside a case packer or bolt to a mobile frame that is wheeled between packaging lines. Drag teaching captures a new packaging pattern in minutes, and the open SDK and PLC handshake over Ethernet, ModBus or Profinet options keep the collaborative robot arm synchronised with the line controller.

Advantages

  • Fast cycle capability: 3.0 m/s tool speed and 237 degrees per second on the wrist keep up with conveyor paced packaging lines.
  • 7kg payload headroom: carries cartons, bagged goods and multi-part grippers without derating the cycle.
  • 0.02mm repeatability: consistent placement into cartons, trays and shrink wrap keeps rejects low at line speed.
  • Compact 23.2 kg body: bolted to a conveyor frame or a mobile trolley without floor anchors in most cases.
  • Any-angle mounting: overhead and side mounting frees floor space around the packing station.
  • Simple pattern teaching: drag the arm through one carton pattern, then reuse it as a template for the next SKU.
  • Collaborative safety: ISO 13849 PL d Cat. 3 certification lets packers work beside the arm during changeovers.
  • Open integration: digital I/O, RS485 and Ethernet fieldbus options connect vision, vacuum and label applicators directly.

Applications

  • Case packing and cartoning: product pick, orientation and carton placement
  • End-of-line packaging: tray loading, shrink pack handling and pallet build
  • Bagging lines: pouch pick and place with vacuum tooling
  • Conveyor transfer between boxing, labelling and sealing stations
  • Food and daily chemical packaging support tasks
  • E-commerce fulfilment: order picking into outbound totes
  • Inspection and rejection of packaging defects
  • Depalletising and layer transfer of packaged goods

FAQ

Q: How fast can this 7kg payload collaborative robot arm run a pick-place cycle?

A: With a 3.0 m/s tool speed and 237 degrees per second wrist speed, short pick and place moves complete in well under a second between adjacent stations. Actual cycle time depends on gripper action and the distance between pick and place points.

Q: Can the arm keep up with a moving conveyor?

A: Yes. Conveyor tracking is handled by the controller through an encoder input, and the arm follows the product while it closes the gripper, so packaging lines can run continuously rather than indexing.

Q: What carton weights can this collaborative robot arm handle?

A: The rated payload is 7 kg including the gripper, so a 3 kg vacuum tool leaves about 4 kg of product per cycle. For heavier cartons the i10 or i16 in the same series is the better match.

Q: How does the arm mount above a packing line?

A: The base accepts floor, wall, ceiling and inclined mounting. Overhead frame mounting is common on packaging lines because it leaves the floor clear and shortens the vertical travel to the carton.

Q: Is programming new SKUs time consuming?

A: No. A packaging pattern is recorded with hand-guided drag teaching and stored as a program, so a new SKU is typically taught in under ten minutes and then recalled by number at changeover.

Q: What are the delivery and warranty terms?

A: Stock units ship in 3 working days, configured arms in 15 to 25 days, minimum order one piece. Each arm comes with a calibration report and a 12 month warranty covering parts and technical support.

Q: How do I request a quotation?

A: Send your part weight, cycle requirement, fixture layout and plant voltage. Our engineers confirm the payload and centre of gravity margin, propose the end effector and mounting arrangement, and return a price, lead time and integration drawing for this 7 kg collaborative robot arm.
